Scam Advisory from IRAS
From time to time, we bring you the latest announcIements from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) of Singapore to aid you in staying abreast of the scam advisories issued by IRAS.
To report scams or phishing attempts, please call the IRAS hotline at 1800 356 8300 from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (except Public Holidays). Alternatively, you may call the police hotline at 1800 255 0000 or submit a report at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness.
It is important that individuals remain vigilant and protect themselves, their family and friends. Businesses and organisations should also play their part by educating and looking out for their customers, working with the authorities to set in place upstream safeguards. The various types of scams are:
- Phishing – Beware of scam emails
- Smishing – Beware of scam WhatsApp / SMS messages
- Vishing – Beware of scam phone calls
- Spoofing – Beware of scam IRAS or myTax Portal websites, social media and documents.
